< Salute, pilots from Wing X, Wing Commander Domi , Commodore TBA (¿?) and last but not least TIE Corps Commander Jarek La'an >

Welcome to this, my second Weekly Report for my beloved Squadron, the mighty Tempest! The Mighty Tempest, "The Riders on the Storm".

Ahhhh, what a week people! W-H-A-T A W-E-E-K! Let me tell you here and now that this is the most active and enthusiastic unit I've ever commanded! :-D Ok, I've only commanded another one so far, but then again, your activity on these first weeks has been so damned splendid that I couldn't find time to fly myself except for a couple of TCS thingies. Yes, your ears (eyes? crystall balls?) aren't betraying you: YOU DARED TO PREVENT ME FLYING!! >:____D Daily e-mails featuring all sorts of easy excuses to stop me... IRC privates making my life miserable as if I'd have nothing better to do... and... and... pilot files! You were bold enough to actually send me pilot files! I'm still trying to realize it... ALL you are quite active... it's shameful! What kind of training are we enforcing here?!!

Oh well... now please have my apologies for having delayed this report a couple of days, but right when I was going to work for real The Science Office and its evil doers release a new and improved version of The Emperor's Hammer Ship Patch plus overhauled versions of all its ship patch consorts. And honestly, I still have a TIE right here inside my "offline" head. Can't help it! Therefore I just *NEEDED* to try such a proof of human genius (Love you Ender and Den! :__D) before going back to work. Ok, now that I'm done trying those and right when I was going to write my next NUTS History for "CMDR's Corner" I screw old ideas already there and start thinking on something REALLY nasty. So there you go with this issue and its bloated NUTS History. But hey! I'm just that funny: sometimes you'll find there way too loooong mindless fiction full of bollocks, sometimes you'll find there unbehaving short mindless fictions full of bollocks. As long as I can make you to find something there... :-P

But enough talk! HAVE AT YOU!! >.-D

Tempest Patch!
I.) A horse, a horse! My kingdom for a horse!! (aka. Squadron News)

Imperial mini-Logo Lt. Commander Dunta Polo, former Tempest 2-2, has been appointed Flight Leader of "Heralds of Maelstrom"!! Following LC Murleen struggle against some RL issues, I found interesting to sit one of the newest TIE Corps members there for him to be able to prove himself worthy. To command and doom upon your pilots I put you there, Lt. Commander!

Because everybody here must have his chance, my minions, his chance to perform, his chance to demonstrate all leadership he can gather from endless watchings of "300", his chance to be... killed by CMDR's hands in case of failure (that's the most funny aspect, what can I tell you?) >:-). So far, Lt. Commander Polo, have my own sincere congrats, know that you have all my confidance... and all drinks are on you for a week. Sometimes honour and bankruptcy come together you see... ^^

Imperial mini-Logo After endless sessions of attempting mayhem on poor Lady TACcy's ears I've managed for all your profiles to be restored in full (not Multiplayer stuff though, which is not implemented on the TC database yet) except that of Colonel Trow who somehow managed to attract TAC's rage upon himself (j/k, Colonel, it's just the TACcy left profiles restoring to focus on the new "Patch Archive" ;-)). So far, go and check out your profiles, gentlemen. Note down all inconsistences and other nasties you may find and then send them to me so I can keep making Demps' life miserable yet another day. And I mean, DO IT, because I consider my task there fully over and from now on (except for COL Trow who is special *ejem*) if you happen to have something wrong at your profile it will be YOUR task to bring it to FA Dempsey's attention I tell you!

Imperial mini-Logo New battles released!! True story! How the TACcy and that VSD Sinister deranged crew (including myself, btw) managed to do it while also working on the database goes beyond me, but as a matter of fact here you are:

*drumroll* <--- (Didn't I kill you last time you punk? ¬¬ )

XvT-TC 132: The Aftermath of Hoth by FA Ender mBind
TIE-FREE 277 : Folly: The Endless Struggle by FA Ender mBind
TIE-TC 240: Survival by FA Anahorn Dempsey

Imperial mini-Logo Know all of ye that the position of Combat Operations Officer (COO) is open for applications, in case you're interested. Now you can either trust the SOO on what exactly a COO is and how can it be cooked, or you can heed my wise verb and know the truth. See... the COO guy is a member of the TC Admiralty board and that means a nice payment, higher shinies, the chance of get some glory for yourself and some fancy TCCOM's boot up your arse if you happen to underperfom, of course! But that also means you would be in charge of all TIE Corps Multiplayer activity, thus becoming a true 1337, kick ass all around, spread your wrath everywhere abusing your laser-hax and all those thingies you were always dreaming about, not to mention a daunting task trying for the TC to regain its old MP glory from the times of Avenger Squadron. Are any of you ready for such a titanic yet worthy effort? I'm not; hence why I'm only COOA and I'd be your assistant in case you decide to leave Tempest to do something *REALLY* useful and dare to put ME under YOUR command. ;_P

Imperial mini-Logo The IWATS Academy has been reopened!! After quite a funny number of underperforming TOs the new spot of TC DEAN has been conquered by Vice Admiral Astin, who has already demonstrated he's more than capable to do the job he has been assigned by reopening our trusty Academy, where all TC pilots are called to try and learn something beyond the quickest way to their Wing Cantinas and the proven fact that farmer == corpse-wannabe on this little Galaxy of ours. Right now you can find all available Courses at:

http://iwats.isdchallenge.org/

And if you're thinking that link is very similar to those of our glorious Squadron websites it's because... it's allocated on ISDII Challenge domain as well, of course. We have been bestowed the honour of hosting the site and you can be... I ORDER YOU TO BE proud of it. Go there and take some Courses dammit! Btw, don't hesitate to use the online tests links once again because all those tests are already implemented in the TC database, where they always should have been, and the new system works exactly the same way as the old one we were used to. And don't panic if you can only see a few of all our old Courses there, because VA Astin claims he has everything there and will upload all stuff if you just stop asking and leave him alone to live a little. :-J

BTW, did I already tell you that I'm STILL the PROF of [MP/2], [AMP] and [XML] Courses? No? Ok, then I better shut the hell up in order to not spam you more than necessary on the proven fact that I'm PROF of [MP/2], [AMP] and [XML] Courses.

Imperial mini-Logo Last issue!!! The unbelievable! A new Emperor's Hammer Ship Patcher has been released as well as a new XvT EHSP main patch and all XvT loose ship patches have been overhauled to work with it! You gotta love this one, my minions. Now it uses a centralized system to install patches for all game platforms and, in top of that, the new XvT EHSP features completely new ingame images full of hot gals in Imperial uniforms... :___D----- Could you ask for more? Oh, well... you could ask for TIE and XWA stuff; patience, young paprika-wans, for FA mBind has assured that those two will be available soon, including new patches for TIE Fighter Collector's Edition (TIECD). You now, that splendid version with no 3D accelerated mode but featuring ingame interactive MIDI music so you can stop hating John Williams at last. Find all info on differences between versions at LC Tempest's site HERE.

You can find the new "Patch Archive" here: http://tc.emperorshammer.org/patcharchive.php Enjoy the new patch browser, psychos, because it's a bloody piece of art with all info you may need on each and every single patch, including all battles where it has been used if any.

Above everything else and in order to prevent some SCO using your bowels to develop further custom patches, I strongly reccomend you to read all READMEs carefully. Science Office members are not only there to release inexplicably fast and insanely powerful fighters only to be used by lazy Admirals who wouldn't be able to pilot a tricycle given their long trained lazyness, but also to save credits as necessary using those entrails from unruly officers to develop their stuff. And they say their victims of choice are those fools who refuse to read READMEs and help files and dare to come to them asking the obvious and/or already explained.

And remember! Until TIE and XWA new patches are made public you'll still need the SuperXP Installer for those.

( Spoilers you say!!! Why not? ;-P So I was there browsing through all those new patches, drooling stupidly to test them ASAP. Then I picked one and installed it, decided to give it a try. And well, I always knew Ender & Co. were not known for their wastefulness when developing new patches but THIS:

TIE Yoshi
THIS was beyond my worst expectatives I tell you. Do you want me to reveal you where did they install the ion engines? No, of course you don't...
)

EH Logo
II.) On how to obliterate a starfighter with your knight lance® (aka. Squadron Status and On-going Competitions)

Imperial mini-Logo Remember, my fellow subdits, that we have now a running Squadron-level competition on "The Aftermath of TIE". And let me remind you that this is the opportunity you've been waiting for to get yourselves your first shinies as the worthy Riders on the Storm you are! I expect all your pilotfiles and fiction entries to be on my desk BEFORE March 1st by GMT+1 morning. To date I've only seen a couple of entries, and it's not necessary to mention that's not enough. Hell! That's shameful! You're safe for now because you still have some time before competition deadline, but if I don't see more entries before I close this comp. it will be YOU who will find yourselves beyond YOUR deadline... >.-F

BTW, I might release yet another Squadron competition soon; a special one involving logics and agility of mind. -Agility-, not healthy mind condition, take note. ^_^ Same as usual: I'll announce the comp. via e-mail immediately, not waiting for my next WSR by any means so you can start participating ASAP.

Imperial mini-Logo Then again, I cannot say it louder but I can... increase the font size... :-P

CHECK OUT YOUR PROFILES!!!

Hunt down any wrong data you might find and tell me about IN DETAIL. Then I'll do whatever I can for you to see your profile as it should be. But this CMDR's offer won't be always there for you to abuse the sweetness of my heart (*JIAJIAJIAJIAJIA!* xD) so if you don't do it now, later it will be YOUR business to deal with the TAC yerselves for she to fix your stuff.

Imperial mini-Logo Know that in addition to all those medals that rained over Wing X last week, there are also a few which are still pending: those coming from September 2008 and October 2008 MWEs. Not that they're many, not that they're all for us (not that we wouldn't deserve it...), but even then it's a pending matter with the TCCOM and SOO that Colonel Domi, our mighty Wing Commander, is still trying to solve while you read. Stay tuned and don't even think those were lost in all the chaos we've gone through. NO WAY IN HELL! You'll get exactly what you deserved. To the letter. Period.

Imperial mini-Logo Yet another weekly Tempest website update, as usual. Don't forget to check the site often as one of your primary sources of useful information and bollocks of all kinds. All complaints are to be sent directly to Admiral Joey "Stryfe" Calvey, Fleet Systems Engineer, with the subject: "Sir, I have a few formal complaints on the new Tempest website by LC Zósite for you to review as soon as you can... Sir? ... Sir?... Admiral?... Anybody home?"

II.a) Squadron Competitions

L The Aftermath of TIE
Details HERE
This one's difficult so pay attention! You fly XvT-TC 132. You send me your pilot files. IS-BW for highest scorer on each mission. You send me a fiction on one of the battle's missions. IS-BR for best fiction entry. That's all; next time I promise to make it easier. ;-P

II.b) Wing / Ship Competitions

L Wing X Pilot of the Week/Month
Details HERE
As usual, gents! Our almighty WC, Colonel Domi, will award a bronze shinie in a weekly basis and a silver one per month to whoever demonstrates he's perfectly capable of making the rest of us looking as worse as possible. Fly missions, take IWATS, participate in other comps, drink... and well... drink. Everything counts! Especially to drink. :-D

L Challenge Top Gun
Details HERE
Similar to 'Wing X PotM' one, but this time as a flying-only. Colonel Domi will backstab the one whose flight record dares to be the best on a given month with no less than an IS-SW. Interesting given that rumour someone has been spreading around that we're actually... PILOTS. Don't ya think? ;-)

II.c) Emperor's Hammer / TIE Corps / TC Battlegroups Competitions

Oh! Oh my good Lord!! But if I'm going to repeat some TC site info here. Please, have mercy!! :-P

L SP/MP Ace of the TIE Corps - February 2009
Details HERE
Simple, pretty simple: fly as hell, make your CMDR's life miserable BSFing your stuff and earn medals for it. IS-GW, IS-SW and IS-BW for the 3 best ranking players at the Single Player Kill Board. What else do you need to fill your IDline with useless titles as myself? And also a
MP division to find HERE! KILL everybody and feel proud for it!! IS-GW, IS-SW and IS-BW for the 3 best ranking players at the Multiplayer Kill Board. You gotta love it!!

L Dempsey's Music Video Mania
Details HERE
An IS-PR... I'm pretty sure many of you think that platinum stuff awardings are just legends and those who actually show such things on their dress uniforms have to pay a monthly fee to the FC himself for him to allow them to lie everybody on how they managed to compite for them. One thing's for sure... our Lady Happy-TACcy must have some pretty collection of manias involving all sorts of media, let alone other high-ranking fetishes. Check those Messageboards! :-P

L TACcy Quotes
Details HERE
See, the TACcy tends to release a bunch of random chosen words making some sort of composition all together. And she calls this creature a "TAC Report". Read those "reports", find the movie quote lying there and e-mail FA Dempsey as quickly as you can with your answer! This competition has been running for many more months than I can remember so I think it will be run again no matter what, despite there's no database entry yet. Well, now as soon as you see a TAC report around you know what to do. ;-)

L TACcy Speed Test (february)
Details HERE
Bi-weekly competition involving flying speed. XWA/XvT FREE mission to be announced on each TAC report for you to finish it up as quickly as you can. Fly on Easy, turn on ingame cheats, mind only about Primary Goals. Emulate the bloody Roadrunner! WHATEVER!!! But complete the mission in record time and send your pilotfile DIRECTLY TO TAC, NOT CMDR. IS-SW for those fast enough to lose their pants on their way plus IS-BW for whoever happens to fly faster than TAC herself (and steal her pants? no, don't think so... :-P).

L TAC's beta testing madness
Details HERE
Seems the mad Lady TACcy has been arranging a 20-mission monster battle from the deep to punish our fates all this time. XWA-TC: "Battle of Lykos" is its name. To testfly it will be your duty. IS-GW/SW for top bug submitters + IS-BW for whoever comes to be suicidal enough to fly it, let alone IS-GR/SR/BR for best 3 reviews will be your reward. It will be tough. It will steal your time. And as true TC pilots... you gotta love it!!

H DJB's Inter-Club Training Event (Multiplayer!!)
Details HERE
Let's see... What would be the best way of dealing with our "new" Dark Jedi Brotherhood (DJB, former rDB) friends in order to show 'em our willing to cicatrize old injuries between our clubs? What about sending them all to hell via MP while punishing their prides by the book? >;-D All Saturdays 24/7 on Undernet #outerrim IRC channel!

H XvT Week of War CXXVII (Multiplayer!!)
Details HERE
The best XvT MP competition ever. Period. World-wide! Inter-clubs! And on a monthly basis! Hosted by Battlestats, as usual. Don't forget to take [MP/2] IWATS Course as well as [AMP] if you *REALLY* want to have a chance at this one; the playing level is from the matter the nightmares are made of. LoCs!! DFCs!! Glory not only for you but also for The Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet as a whole. Do I need to say more? If you never participated on any of these you never played MP for real, and you guess it to be truth.

The Tempest!

III.) NO!! Performances involving the infamous trio (beer-holoTV-chips) don't count for anyone but CMDR here!

IV.) Do it or DO IT. Don't even dare to try! (aka. Squadron Standing Orders)

  1. Fly AT LEAST a mission/battle from the Compendium!!! You're a pilot, not a wardrobe, and this is important!
  2. Take an IWATS. And if you actually learn something maybe you're doing miracles too! ;-D
  3. Fly some MP. Plenty of comps. to do it. If only you could feel The Power of the Pwnage Side©®!!
  4. Drink; as a truly Challengite this is a must to perform. If only you could feel The Power of the Daze Side of the Booze©®!!
  5. Participate in some competition if possible. Tempest is here to trample & impale any opposition hence our nickname!
  6. Contact your Flight Leader or Squadron Commander at least once a week!! This is BUT VERY important in order to mantain your arse within the roster. CMDR may well have the nasty mania of kicking mute people out of the airlock...
  7. Be always loyal to the TIE Corps Fleet, then the ISDII Challenge and Wing X, then Tempest.
  8. Kill any rebel scumb, dirty smuggler or pathetic pirate on sight and with a smile on your face. Cleaning 'da house!
  9. Have fun doing all this stated above! Now this one is a f****** order; if you don't accomplish with this one you're really doing nothing. Go away and make something better with your life like having a pathetic RL job, trying for your wife to not cheat you with a REAL PILOT... ahem...
  10. It would be sooo simetric and perfect for you to have a 10th order... but you haven't. :-P

Note on order 4: if you can't actually realize this IS NOT a RL way to go you should request transfer to the Redemption or something... ¬_¬

Rabid EwokZos THE NUTS Another Rabid Ewok

V.) Someone flew over the Ewok's Nest (aka. CMDR's Corner)

Some of you may think (and the rest are right) that this Fleet is widely known for taking special care on its pilots' health of mind and body, in opossition to the original Imperial Navy of The New Order which was known for dealing with pilots as if they were nothing but numbers ready to be spent if necessary without hesitation with few exceptions. Well, the very existance of The Fleet Medical Corps was the best proof of it. As a matter of fact, they were disbanded as an active part of the TIE Corps Fleet in a time now forgotten (maybe you could still find 'em in some ooooold Order of Battle somewhere) and may that be the best proof that they weren't needed anymore; we're hopeless. BUT! that's the official version you've been told. Here in the ISDII Challenge we perfectly know they're still around, ready to unleash havoc whenever they can following their monthly sanity checks. Regardless of what you've been told, the TIE Corps Commander knows about it (he has been their target as well for obvious reasons) but he doesn't seem in the mood of fixing this annoyance, not even onboard his Flagship, for he sorta -enjoy- seeing all those morons in white fencing ominous straitjackets trying to catch us whenever we're not on mission.

However, and following a recent incident involving some of those chasing Major Palermo, Tornado CMDR, and him using a copy of his daily issue of "The New York Times" (Intel is still trying to figure out where does he get those things, btw) to level their heads and feet together with joy, they seem to have changed their tactics and now send us silly medical droids to run their sanity checks, go figure. Well, today one of them arrives at Commander Vitaru's Flight Leader Office, where Zósite Kónstyte Styles, The Wicked CMDR of Tempest, is finishing some paperwork (he can also use his own "Flying Office" but the fact that it comes to be floating forever in the vaccum OUTSIDE the ship doesn't help Squadron communications...).

<LC Zós> What the... What the hell are you supposed to be doing here? Did you bring booze? Answer first to second question. ~>:F

<LCM Polo> Sir, this... thing wants to make you an interview. It says it came in behalf of the infamous FMC and despite that alone would be enough for me to reducing it to tiny senseless pieces I thought we could use some friendly manners this time in order to avoid further races. Besides, it doesn't bring any straitjacket this time.

<LC Zós> Oh, ok... leave that stupid screw right there and go tell Colonel Domi these reports won't be done before tomorrow (they were going to be ready 3 days after anyways but this makes a nice excuse ^_^).

<LCM Polo> Aye, Sir. But if you're going to shoot this thing shoot it at least one more time in my behalf.

After Lt. Commander Polo, Flight II Leader on Tempest, abandons his FL mate's Office the droid speaks clear and loudly yet using excellent manners and politeness.

<|Stupid screw|> Delighted to make your acquaintance, Sir. Are you the CMDR of Tempest Squadron?

<LC Zós> Zósite Kónstyte Styles, Lieutenant CoRoneR. Nice to meet you. And you? >:-J

<|Stupid screw|> 2-1B designated "Freud" of Geentech, in service of The Fleet Medical Corps. It's an honour, Sir.

<LC Zós> Ok, "Freud", what can I do for you?

<|Stupid screw|> I'm here to perform this month's sanity check on your persona, Sir. And it's my hope to make it as quick and sweet as possible, with your collaboration, Sir. May I start already?

<LC Zós> Sure. Shoot.

<|Stupid screw|> No, Sir. I'm not here to shoot you. I'm here just to forward you some easy questions. How could I shoot the CMDR of Tempest Squadron?

<LC Zós> Zósite Kónstyte Styles, Lieutenant CoRoneR. Nice to meet you. And you?

<|Stupid screw|> 2-1B designated "Freud" of Geentech, in service of The Fleet Medical Corps. But...

<LC Zós> What's the first question, "Droid"?

<|Stupid screw|> "Freud", Sir, it's "Freud". And the first question is: What can you tell me of the last 2 months before you were appointed Tempest CMDR?

<LC Zós> Intolerably annoying I tell you! They were full of silly day cycles and stuff! Besides, I still have brief mind glimpses and nightmares with sassy furballs everywhere, trying to obstaculize the natural development of true science and...

<|Stupid screw|> Furballs, Sir? What furballs? I mean, you're not supposed to mess with furballs but to accomplish with your duties of Squadron Commander and pilot of the TIE Corps. You're...

<LC Zós> Zósite Kónstyte Styles, Lieutenant CoRoneR. Nice to meet you. And you?

<|Stupid screw|> 2-1B designated "Freud" of Geentech, in service of The Fleet Medical Corps. But that's not the objective of...

<LC Zós> Boring. Bring on the second question. :-P

<|Stupid screw|> Y-Yessir. Here it is: What can you tell me about your childhood?

<LC Zós> Do I have one of those? Must have forgotten it in my other duty pants.

<|Stupid screw|> Well, Sir, each and every life form has some sort of childhood. Even you. Just think about your parents and then think you were their son...

<LC Zós> Zósite Kónstyte Styles, Lieutenant CoRoneR. Nice to meet you. And you?

<|Stupid screw|> *crick* 2-1B designated "Freud" of Geentech, *pop* in s-service..

<LC Zós> It's always nice to know who's there talking you know. Next question?

<|Stupid screw|> Eeeee... Ohhhh... Third is: What's your place of choice to relax when not on a mission, Sir?

<LC Zós> My "Flying Office" of course. At Lagrangian point L1 between the ship and its next hyperjump mark.

<|Stupid screw|> But that's OUTSIDE the ship!

<LC Zós> So?

<|Stupid screw|> There's no oxygen out there. How can you breath under such atmospheric circumstances?

<LC Zós> What a silly question. I've always been able to breath. I would be... you know... DEAD otherwise.

<|Stupid screw|> But in order to breath all humans need oxygen! Even you!

<LC Zós> Who, me?

<|Stupid screw|> Yes, you! The Tempest CMDR!

<LC Zós> Zósite Kónstyte Styles, Lieutenant CoRoneR. Nice to meet you. And you?

<|Stupid screw|> *cleck* 2-1B designated "F-Freud" *clunck* offfff Geen...

<LC Zós> Excellent! Now at least we know who are us! Next one. ^_^

<|Stupid screw|> *brrrrreep* T-T... *grnnniiiik* *pop* W-What can you tell me about y-your mother, Sir. *djiiiiiii*

<LC Zós> Do you want me to tell you about my mother?

<|Stupid screw|> P-pleease, S*ffff*ir... X_0

<LC Zós> Ok. I'll tell you about my mother.

<|Stupid screw|> ... *cleck* *clinck* ...

<LC Zós> ...

<|Stupid screw|> ... Sir?

<LC Zós> What is it?

<|Stupid screw|> Y-you were going to tell me a-about *rrrrrumble* your m-mother.

<LC Zós> Tell you what?! Never said such a thing.

<|Stupid screw|> Yes you d-did *nnnkcccrrr*. You ttol-d meee *brep*...

<LC Zós> Are you calling me a liar? Are you calling me a liar?! By Ronin's beard!! Are you threatening me?! ARE YOU THREATENING ME? Definitely you don't know who are you talking to, do you?! You filthy bag of springs!!

<|Stupid screw|> Y-you *rrrrttt* *beeeep* you a-areee... *cleclecleck*

<LC Zós> Zósite Kónstyte Styles, Lieutena...

<|Stupid screw|> ****RRRRRRREEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGHHHHH**** *_+

A few minutes later, Commander Vitaru, Tempest Flight III Leader, enters his own Office.

<CM Vitaru> Well, CMDR. Are you done yet with those reports? I'm bored to whip off those Ewoks of yours over and over again and, honestly, I'm missing my desk badly; "(Millenium) Falcon Crest" is about to begin on the Holo-TV. :-P

<LC Zós> Ok, ok, I'll leave your slackering haven, Commander. But first, get that vaped wreckage and put it on nearest airlock. Thanks.

<|Screw -OVER-|> ***Daaaaaaisssyy... Daaaaaaaissyyy...***

<CM Vitaru> Mmmmm? Heh. Seems they don't build droids like they did before, ein? ;-)

<LC Zós> Word. :-J
